Your Options as a Rhinoplasty in Fort Worth Patient

Rhinoplasty can reshape or resize the nose as well as specific aspects of the nose. The procedure can also correct certain breathing problems and resolve the asymmetry that birth defects or injury can cause. With surgery, Dr. Max can:

  • Straighten a prominent bump on the nose.
  • Narrow a nose that a patient feels is too wide.
  • Reduce the size of a nose to suit the patient’s face better.
  • Reduce large or prominent nostrils.
  • Refine the nasal tip by adding or removing cartilage.

Dr. Max tailors each rhinoplasty to the patient, and so your procedure will be unique to your goals and needs.

The Basics of Rhinoplasty

During your free initial consultation, Dr. Max will talk with you about what you want to achieve. He will examine your nose, review different options for treatment, and answer any questions you may have. Rhinoplasty in Fort Worth patients typically have excellent outcomes, and the procedure is very common.

In the surgery, Dr. Max will follow the treatment you and he discussed in your earlier visits. The surgery may also correct the septum, which may be crooked or deviated. This can help you to breathe easier.

Immediately after your rhinoplasty, Dr. Max will splint and bandage your nose to provide greater stability. Typically, he removes these bandages within about a week. Your face will feel puffy and the area around your eyes and nose will be bruised and swollen for several days. Dr. Max may recommend pain medication or cold compresses to reduce swelling and pain, which should resolve within 10-14 days.

By the end of your recovery, you can expect subtle but significant improvements in the appearance of your nose. Throughout your experience, Dr. Max and our team will be available to answer your questions and to help you reach the outcome you want to achieve.
