Most of the patients that I work with at MP Plastic Surgery Center in Fort Worth, Texas are excited before their breast augmentation surgery because of the results they are going to get. As great as your results are going to be, you can’t overlook the importance of preparing your home life beforehand. You’re going to need time to recover, and chances are you aren’t going to feel like doing your everyday household duties, nor should you even attempt to.
Rest and relaxation are critical for Fort Worth patients to recover quickly from their breast augmentation, and the only way to accomplish this is by making sure that you won’t have a list of chores to do when you get home. Here are the three most effective ways to prepare your home life before going in for your breast augmentation surgery.
Finish Up Your Housework
It’s easy to think things, like doing dishes, folding laundry or sweeping the floor, can wait until you’re back home after your surgery. But the reality is the last thing you’ll want to be doing at that time is housework. Don’t put off anything for later that you can do right now. Take my advice and do all your necessary housework before your breast augmentation.
Make Your Bed or Couch Comfortable
At MP Plastic Surgery Center, my staff and I recommend staying off your feet as much as possible for a few days after your breast augmentation. So, if you’re going to be staying in bed or on the couch, now is the time to take steps to make them as comfortable as possible. Plump up your pillows and have your favorite blankets handy. Also, I recommend that you keep your body at a 45-degree angle as much as possible to aid the recovery process, therefore, organize your resting arrangement accordingly.
Ask for Help in Advance
As much as you may want to, it’s impossible to put your life on hold after your breast augmentation completely. The reality is things are going to come up. Your pet will need to be fed every day, your kids need attention, and unexpected situations may arise. It is essential that you have help during the first week or so ask a family member, friend or neighbor in Fort Worth for help with these things. The absolute worst thing you can do is overexert yourself while you’re recovering from surgery by trying to do things on your own, so arrange for help in advance.
I am here to ensure that my Fort Worth patients feel comfortable and confident about their breast augmentation.
